This Space For Rent is a half hour comedy television series about three roommates and their friends sharing a flat in downtown Vancouver, muddling through life with no parachutes, no guarantees, and almost no scruples. As the first quarter of their lives come to a close, Lucky and his friends Iona, Barnaby, April, and Elliot, search for answers to the ubiquitous question: What next!?
The series follows these five friends as they come of age in downtown Vancouver – a world of concrete and beach, rain and apathy, youth and ambition. It’s about that period in your life when you feel on the cusp of greatness, but everything is so much more comfortable on the couch. While the characters all feel compelled to live extraordinary lives, they have no qualms about bowing out of the race rather than settling for a life of mediocrity. As they make baby steps towards self-fulfillment, they investigate the minutiae of their everyday lives; the pathetic details you just have to laugh at otherwise you might cry.
